Reaction to Modernity-Modern Jewish Communities / Modern Jewish Thought

Central to understanding Progressive Judaism is the ability to grasp modern Jewish religious thought. This seminar explores the Jewish people and their interaction with modernity and post-modernity. Setting a theological context for the study of Progressive Judaism , we examine in detail the various responses to 19th and 20th century religious alternatives with 21st century conclusions.
